Sony had dated the PS3 and Vita version of MLB 14: The Show for April 1st. Missing was a concrete date for the first PlayStation 4 edition of the series.
Today, the official Twitter account for MLB: The Show locked in the exact day: May 6th, a little past one month later than those previous gen versions. Jumping to new hardware has clearly taken additional time, sprucing up visuals and planning for yearly cross play which lets players take their created superstars into future editions of the game without having to start over with each entry. New features should begin dwindling on PlayStation 3 as the dev studio begins to make their console switch more definitive, while the neglected Vita hopefully finds itself on solid footing.
