World of Tanks has exited closed beta for the weekend and is open to all Xbox Live users, not just those with Gold. Even those who exhausted their seven day Gold trial previously will be able to re-up for the weekend shooting gallery. Playing 10 matches today will grant players a week of premium account status when the game is officially out in the wild. Premium members gain XP and credits faster.
The free-to-play title has no official release date, but the press release states this is the final round of beta testing. So, soon then?
World of Tanks will be offered a rare cross-breed of PC and console gaming. Players from both preference factions will be able to clash alongside one another, reminiscent of the underrated Shadowrun.
