Developer of Sony’s brawler title PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is officially off Sony’s roster of first-party studios. The studios amicably parted ways according to Sony’s statement, with future All-Stars duties (DLC, support) passed to Santa Monica Studio.
Superbot’s director of operations David Yang states, “It is unlikely we can continue with our current work force for an extended period of time.”
In a more positive official statement confirming the split, Superbot takes a cheerier outlook, “We are very excited about beginning the next chapter of our future and invite all of our fans and supporters to follow our journey.”
As far as media is concerned, any future projects from Superbot remain unknown. DLC for All-Stars is still on course for February 12th with Kat from Gravity Rush and Emmet Graves (?) from Warhawk.
