If you turned on your PlayStation 3 this morning and were prompted to update your firmware, congratulations. You’re one of the first to see the light at the end of the tunnel that was the PSN outage. The first steps include that firmware upgrade and resetting your password. From there, online play comes back, video content like Sony’s movie download service, Hulu, and MLB.tv, music applications like Qriocity, third-party video streaming partners Netflix, and MLB.tv, friends applications, and finally Home.
You can follow a map over on the PlayStation Blog to see if services have been restored in your area. Good luck to everyone that hope it goes smoothly for all.
