Cung Le has joined EA Sports MMA. According to the game’s website, him and six additional fighters have been added: Gilbert Melendez, Robbie Lawler, Ronaldo Souza, Matt Lindland, Scott Smith, and Josh Thomson are the the other six, but Le is by far the biggest name of this group. He has been a successful mixed martial arts for years and has repeatedly demonstrated his devastating power. One example of which was in July of 2008 when he broke Frank Shamrock’s arm with a single kick.
With Le joining the cast of fighters, EA is starting to put together an impressive line-up since they already boast Randy Couture and Fedor Emelianenko. One must think by now that Dana White will have to recede his previous statement about any fighters who participates with EA being banned from the UFC. So far each time a new set of fighters has been announced, they have contained fighters who have at least had a few fights in the UFC already. Plus Couture has already had a fight in the octagon since his signing with EA. Couple that with the fact that White has openely stated a desire to have Fedor fight for the UFC, and it seems White will have to break that rule, or act like he never said it.
